Is it just me or did it seem as if Banky did not put any effort in his new single,
SETTING P, click on the title to listen to the song. I don't know but it just sounded ordinary, not like what I would expect from Banky W.
This is the chorus sha:
I'm setting P
Because the way that you whine that body
Is tempting me
Oya make we shelenge dey go
I'm setting P
Baby sumo bi bring your body next to me
Omoge wa jo
Beremole go down low
Give it to me bami jo
Shelenge go down low
Then the song goes on with Banky telling a girl to talk to him, how he's into her, how he wants to trouble her, how she's going to be his lady tonight, and how she should please forgive him for being rude, how he is making a living by pissing of his haters, then the chorus comes up again.
Then he continues with another girl, without delay, how he's the best one for her how he wants to be everything she needs and how she was made to grind of him. Then the spit a couple of words in Yoruba and then the chorus continues.
Then the bridge or something goes like this:
If I see you at the bar
Na to wash dry set P
Na why i buy this car
All na wash dry set p
Try to follow you dance
na to wash dry set P
Relationship or one chance
All na wash dry set p
UP in the club
I'm setting P
Bottles in the club
I'm setting P
Hennesey
I'm setting P
My friend give it to me
I'm setting P
Baby the way you move is tempting me
I need to get you next to me
Giving you the best of format
Washing, drying, Setting P
Then we go back to the chorus again.
Now that I am reading over what I can't believe I just wrote out, I'm wondering if this was a freestyle or he spent a moment writing it out. Either way, the song is still very okay, but not exceptional.
To me, it's a song that would become every body's favourite with time, not at once. That being said, what does he mean by setting P. Does the P stand for parole, I have no idea but I hope you guys do, and someone would enlighten me.
On an unrelated note, his voice is still as good as it always was.
